Do GREEN insoles have lower arch supports than BLUE insoles?
No, GREEN insoles don’t have lower arches than BLUE insoles. GREEN insoles have higher arches because they’re made from a thicker sheet of foam. The top foam sheet of BLUE insoles before being molded is one-quarter inch thick; the top sheet of GREEN insoles is three-eighths inch thick. Therefore, if you have flat feet, you may find the BLUE product more comfortable.
Can I use SuperFeet Blue insoles in Gore-Tex boots?
The support ridges in the bottom of these insoles can cut through the Gore-Tex lining, so we don’t recommend them for use with Gore-Tex boots or similar lined boots. While this doesn’t always happen, it’s a significant enough occurrence that we cannot recommend using these inserts in Gore-Tex boots unless you first insert a so-called five-iron, a foam layer made by another company than protects the lining.
What can I do if SuperFeet insoles cause or increase my shoe and foot odor?
Keeping shoes, feet and insoles clean is essential to eliminating odor. Remove the insoles daily, clean them twice a week with mild soap and water and allow them to air dry outside the shoe. In addition, add some baby powder to the inside of your shoes to reduce odor. Don’t wear the same shoes and inserts more than three days in a row, and bathe feet carefully in Epsom salts once or twice a week. Applying body lotion to feet can also help eliminate foot odor.
